Co-directed by the team of filmmakers DA Pennebaker (Don’t Look Back) and Chris Hegedus (The War Room), with the active participation of Depeche Mode, who had organized an exclusive competition for fans, offering as a prize an appearance in a group film. The storyline, where the contest winners travel across America to attend the historic concert at the Rose Bowl, is a cinematic precursor of the trend in youth culture towards “reality TV”. The film captures the electrifying synergy between the group and their fans.
